Then you will realize, yes monkey ball was designed for the game cube controller and no, they didn't give this enough consideration when porting this. ![]() The game, originally based on an earlier series of Amiga games known as MegaBall, is patterned after classic ball-and-paddle arcade games such as Breakout and Arkanoid. Sure, it takes a little more precision but this wasn't even one of the super hard levels on the gamecube and yet here I am, wasting all my extra monkeys and continues on this one level because I can't follow a hair pin turn on a super thin platform. DX-Ball (stylized as DX BLL, sometimes also written as DXBALL) is a freeware computer game for the PC first released in 1996 by Michael P. what happened? This level isn't even that hard. But, if you've played the first two Monkey Ball games on the gamecube you will cruise through most of it with relative ease -right up until about halfway through the Advanced stages or better. You will see this Deluxe version of monkey ball and think it's worth it -all those levels from the first two games plus new exclusive 'deluxe' levels. You might think, "Whatever my xbox and/or 360 controller's joystick is good enough." And you will be right. You might read reviews or hear people say, "Monkey ball needs to be played on the Gamecube -no, dude -seriously it's made for that controller." They are right. Its a classic that has become very popular. Basically when amusement vision was handling it. DX Ball is an arcade game where you use a paddle and a ball to destroy bricks. Well, that is until Sega ruined the series with the wii and tilt controls etc.
